Steps for doing Anulom Vilom pranayam

For donig the Anulom Vilom pranayama or ñnot much hard steps are required. There are easy steps that we can follow while doing the Anulom Vilom. It is very easy to do. And it can bring many benfits to us. The steps of doing Anulom Vilom pranayama are as follow:

  1. Fistly we have to find the very silent place where we can get peace, and we can sit peacefully on that place. Now sit on the ground and in the crosslegde position by sitting in the these postion it can bring more benefits to us. Also sit in erect position make sure that your spinal cord and the head should be in straight positon.
  2. Now relax your body, mind, face and relax your whole body and shut your eyes down. This will help in unwinding from the surroundings and relieving stress.
  3. Now you should have to sit in this position for few minutes until yor body get relaxed and you will get redy for Anulom Vilom pranayama. 
  4. Now put your right hand on the right nostrils and the left hand on your knee.
  5. Now press the the right nostril and start breathing such that the air through the right nosestril should not passed for some time or we can say we should the air should be obstructed. 
  6. Now take deep breath from the left nosestril keep breathing until you reach to the hogh breath.
  7. Now, hold the inhaled air that we breath in our body.
  8. Now remove your finger from right nostril release the air from the right nosestril. 
  9. Now keep going all the above steps that are given above.
  10. Repeat these steps and keep doing it at least 15 minutes. 

Precautions of anulom vilom prnayama

  • Sometimes while doing the Anulom Vilom pranayam we cannot fell well or discomfort so at that time we can reduce the rate of breathing.
  • One can practice the Anulom Vilom pranayam in excessive manner to get more benifit earlier, but these should be prevented as we can feel fatigue and giddiness.
  • People who get the surjery and have some problem releted to helath should cosult the doctor before the donig these pranayam.
  • Don't increase the breathing rate as compare to normal rate as it do not bring the benifits but it can harm us or it can change our breathing.
  • The practice can be up to 5 minutes initially but slowly one can increase it to 15 minutes safely.
  • This exercise is good for the women who are pregnant women but over straining should be prevented.

Tips for begineer

  • Start these practising with 12-14 round mens for 5-6 minutes then extend it upto 20 -22 minutes.
  • If one want the result should practise twice in a day.
  • When you will reach a certain level of proficiency, you can add breath retention into the practice.
  • While we start practicing these our mind focuse should be on the breating not on the round that we practice in the pranayam avoid these. You can set alarm instead of counting.
